Welcome to Dev Vilas, your abode during your visit to Ranthambhore National Park. The inspiration behind this venture is my mother Dev Kumari, to honor the strength and confidence instilled in me by her, the building is named Dev Vilas that means, “Abode of Dev”. Set in three and a half acres of land, the building in Indo-Saracen style takes a cue from the Shikaar or hunting lodges built by the Maharajas. It follows the traditional architectural lines, inspiring romance and adventure and is located nearest to the entrance of the National Park. Situated in a eco-sensitive zone, the hotel responsibly uses recycled water for non-consumable plantations on its property. The building has also been designed to harvest all rain water and re-charge ground water using traditional storage system.
Dev Vilas with its individually decorated 21 Suites (14 Double/ 5 Twins/2 Superior Suites), 7 Tented Bungalows is the artistic Conception of Ms. Jane Emison of Minneapolis, USA. All materials and craftspeople have been sourced locally, thus ensuring the participation and benefit of the local talent.
We r very happy with our stay in this beautiful hotel! Staff is very cooperative and helpful. Our room is so beautiful and comfortable with bed and attached sitting area. Also there are two washrooms in the room. The hygiene is on its best level! The food in Dev Vilas is so delicious! Must try! There are tents too in the hotel. But due to monsoon they are packed. Pool is also clean for swimming! Highly recommend this hotel for comfort lovers! And for foodies
It was a great stay. The food was awesome. Huge property with sports activity. Swimming pool was clean. Rooms were spacious, lawn in front of room to enjoy and play. Good hospitality. We enjoyed the music program organized by the hotel. Overall value for money
It's a small hotel, I stayed here for 2 weeks in May 2018. The rooms are large and spacious, the whole hotel is very nice and well kept (it is not brand new). The food was excellent with a good variety of traditional India food every day. There was also an 'international' dish each day but to be honest I never sampled them, why visit India to eat pasta etc.? The real delight of the hotel was the staff. Everyone was amazingly friendly and helpful and just lovely genuine people. I have stopped at many hotels in India over the years and I have to say that I enjoyed this one the most; it has a wonderful balance of tradition and modern comfort, hotel convenience and homely feel, etc. It was just perfect! The owner, Mr Singh, was there during our visit, what a lovely and welcoming man. He would often sit with us and have a chat about tigers, conservation, politics, etc. The icing on the cake. As a bonus, if you are visiting Ranthambore NP I doubt there is any hotel closer to the entrance gate for Zones 1-5. I would not hesitate to return to this lovely small homely hotel.....I will return :-)
This is a lovely property set in the style of a hunting lodge of the maharajas. Room 203 was a spacious room with bathroom with bath, shower, toliet and sink. Also had another bathroom with toilet and sink, a dressing area, a seating area with sofa and a writing desk. Safe and fridge are also provided. Tea, coffee and biscuits and served before and after both safaris which was a nice touch. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were simple but delicious with a small number of choices. Espresso and cappacino are extra cost. Pool area was clean and large for the property. It also has a small shop on site. Service was also top notch here and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Its a realy good location for safaris as we were picked up last for zones 1 and 4 as this property is close to the entry and exit for these zones. Thank you to everyone at Dev Vilas for looking after us and making our stay really enjoyable.

Dev Vilas is a beautiful hotel in a quiet location. Our stay here was peaceful and relaxing. We were picked up directly from our hotel for each of our tours into the park. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and sincerely cared about making our visit the best it could be. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
A 2 night stay in February for the purpose of taking drives in Ranthambhore National Park. The rooms are big, comfortable and have all the amenities you could require. Service is excellent and the restaurant is very good. The staff were very helpful even laying on breakfast before the official start time as we had an early departure on leaving. The location is also a bonus being very close to one of the park entrances. We would thoroughly recommend Dev Vilas.
We found Dev Vilas as a result of a recommendation and stayed for two nights in order to visit the Tiger Reserve; the hotel also made all the arrangements for those for us in advance as well(and we weren’t disappointed - 8 tigers sighted over just two safaris!). The rooms were large and well appointed and the food delicious, with waiting staff being both attentive and friendly.
